Default What defines the sport package?

I'm sure I have it, but not sure what the indicators are to a buyer.

Not sure. When I did a search I found very few with comfort seats.

Default Carmax doesn't get much in the way of anything with a 4.2

I nearly bought an A6 4.2 from them in feb, at the time they only had 2 across the US...only saw them have one other until I bought my car.

Default I just bought an S6 last Saturday. I looked a lot too ended up with Black

and the grey sport interior. It is so classy. I just drove my wifes 4.2 and then switched to the S6 this morning. Get the sport seats they are a night and day difference. By the way the S6 is a much different car than the 4.2 it is quiter, better handling, makes great sounds and is noticeably quicker. Even my wife commented this morning on how much nicer the S6 was. No regrets for me I love it. By the way I paid 20k for my S6 and it is MINT. It was in perfect condition. The car even smells new, the downside 80k miles. Doesn't scare me too much though it is largely a commuter car for me. The engine is stout in these cars and should last a long time.

i'm pretty sure all S6's came with sport suspension. Hence the "S".

Default Not sure about on the S6, but on the pre-2003 A6es...

...it included sport seats, sport wheels, and sport suspension (lowered by 20 mm, 30% stiffer springs, 40% increased damping on the shocks).

Yeah, I spaced that we were talking about S cars. Premature senior moment.

Default Well, I know that one w/o sport seats at Wellesley VW was there a LONG time, but...

it had high miles, a few nasty scratches, a broken driver visor, and let me say, their reconditioning effort was sub-par at best. I bet if SouthboroAudiGuy put his talents to taht car, it would have sold in a day!

So, when is the big reveal? Are you done swapping stuff over to the new sled???

Default I've had both sport and non-sport in my 4.2...

both are VERY comfy, the comfort seats look more luxurious, the sport seats give better support at the lower thighs, and they hold you into the seat more, but I didn't feel like I was falling out of the comfort seats either. also, the way the comfort seats are designed, they'll wear a little better than the sport seats, and be easier to clean. I personally prefer the 4 spoke steering wheel as it has the radio controls, and seems to look more at home in these luxury sport cruisers. if I had a TT or a S4, i'd be all about the 3spoke and paddles.
