Default P0741 -- Torque Convertor

I have a 2001 Audi A6 throwing a P0741. I have done quite a bit of reading on this issue and even taken the car to the dealer. Apparently I need a new TC but P0741 is the ONLY code I am throwing. I have read that I could simply be low on tranny fluid...is that true? I have tried to reset the light and take a hard corner and it won't come on. It seems to be random and even if I don't reset the light it will go off and then come back on after a while.

The issue I am facing is I want to sell my A6 and get something with a warranty, something newer. What are my options. The car drives perfectly fine but I would think that the check engine light would be hard for a potential buyer to swallow. What shall I do?

I have read of many ppl that replaced the TC and STILL got the code....that is what I am after....if this happens then what? How do I know it isn't the solenoid and not the TC itself as that is what the code suggests...
