All modern cars have clear coat

By the way, clear coat IS paint, it just doesn't have pigment in it. So polish does have an effect on the clear coat (I asked someone about this).

It may or may NOT have clear.
In general, ALL metallic paints will have a clear coat to protect the metallic particles. A solid, non-metallic color may have clear or not.
The only way to tell for sure is to use a little abrasive wax or rubbing compound on an inconspicuous part of the car. If color comes off, this means NO clear coat.
