Passenger side door lock switch - upgrade for 01' without?

Hi:
Was just browsing through the C5 parts manual someone posted below and would like to find out if I can take care of my wife's biggest complaint in my 01 A6 which is no door lock switch on the passenger's door. I understand that this was changed in 02 on to have a switch on the passenger's side also. I would like to know if anyone knows whether the wiring harness is already in the door and there's just no switch and can this upgrade actually be done.
Thanks in advance.
Matt

...below are the wiring diagrams from the Bentley for 2001 and 2002, and you can see that there are a few things missing.
One is F242 which is the "contact switch for central lock cylinder, passenger side." I believe that is the wire connection needed to make this work, and I doubt your 2001 is pre-wired for it, but you can look if you open the door panel and look for the gr=gray wire running to the wire connector in the door handle area. Also, the S14 and S15 wire connections for open and closed are not complete loops in the 2001 as in the 2002, but I am not sure how those factor in.
Here are the wiring diagrams for your comparison and reference:

I'm un-wed. but then again, I jokingly refer to my car as my girlfriend (well, at least in my experience, the car's cheaper to keep and feed)
I'm just interested in this for myself, my trim around the door release handles is a little scratched, if I can find an additional reason or two to replace it, I will.

depending on the differences between the 01 and 02 central locking module, it may, or may not be doable, I'ma have to look at my etka and see what it says. it may require a defferent module, which could get pricey...but if it's not to bad, I might consider doing it.
