Last night I drove to a friend's house in CT from NY and once entering CT the detector went off literally every few seconds or so, with no signs of police. Tried all the settings, auoto, city, highway... I had to finally unplug the damn thing.
I was very surprised as the previous times I have used the Passport it worked really well. Any one else have this problem?

Were you on Interstate 95? If so, the DOT has set up traffic cams from the NY line on up to New Haven (But it may be up farther). In addition to the cameras the DOT put in Radar which they use to monitor the speed of traffic flow. Unfortunately, while on I95 you will get constant X-Band alerts. The K band still works (if you can stand your detector constantly alerting in X Mode). Next time try the Merritt Parkway.
Stay Well.
