Default PIAA Bulbs

Not meaning to rehash an old subject. But do I understand the PIAA website correctly? It implies they have no headlight replacement bulbs for late model A6's. Fog light replacements, only.

yes, for some reason, h-1's are not popular among aftermarket co's, and if they are, they say "not responsible for damage to factory wiring"

I called PIAA's 800 number, they said they would have H7's in a few months.

Are PIAAs worth the far more expensive price? There are other companies with H7. Also, I read that installing Super Bright white bulbs as fogs would actually be more dangerous when forced to use them in the fog. The less intense and more yellow halogen bulbs are supposedly better in fog.

LOW BEAMS ARE H-1'S, FOGS ARE H-7'S

Default H7 is the headlight bulb designation size, at least for N.A. cars

There do seem to be fog lamp replacements available, meantiime. Look at Autolamps.com.
PIAA.com has some fog bulbs, too. But I did not bother to look as to color.

They are showing H7 as the headlight bulb. Now I have to go back and look again.

Default There are other companies, but.....

Some drives believe the whiter light offers improved vision. There are other companies, but it is questionable whether their bulbs are legal for street use, or not. Ie: Prostreetlighting.com.
When you ask them "legal or not", you sense that they throw their hands up in the air, claiming they don't know. At least PIAA does make the claim in writing that their bulbs are legal in all 50 states.
