Default Pirelli P Zero Nero 235/40/18

Hi All - I could use your collective expertise.

I bought four new tires from Discount Tire. They installed them and they felt great, but they quickly went out of balance. I brought back the car and they rebalanced them. They felt pretty good for a couple weeks or so, but quickly went out of balance again. Same deal - I took them back and they rebalanced them. Two weeks later, they went out of balance again.

Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions? I never had this issue with Michelen....

thanks!

I have the same size tires on my 18's. They never seem to stay fully balanced for long.

I have Conti's and I have been back a couple times too. Seems odd they can go out like that.

Default I had a set of 235 40 18 PZeroNero M&S on my 18"S-line wheels...

...and that set replaced a set of out-of-round Conti Extreme Contact M&S. I had bought the Conti's new from Tire Rack, had the same issue...Hunter balanced, but they were actually out-of-round (visibly see the dips and peaks as the wheel is turned slowly on the machine). I called the Tire Rack, and they repalced them with Pirelli PZeroNero, and those were perfect.

Who is doing your balancing? Discount? Are they doing a Hunter road force balance? If not, I suggest you find a place that does.

Re: Are they using stick-on or rim edge wheel balance weights? Are you losing the weights?

I've been running the same tires for 3+ years - no balance problems at all. Insist on "RoadForce".

Re: They shouldn't go out of balance that quickly unless you are losing the balance weights.

I got a set here. Approching 3yrs and no problem. Agreed with losing weights comments.
