So i know this has been spoken about many many times, but what is the most up-to-date solution for warped front rotors on the C5 A6's?
Mine is the '01 2.7T Q Tip.
My current rotors are Zimmermann Slotted. Any other i could try? I dont think i want to spend a fortune on the rotors alone though. Any links? Places/site to buy at?
Thanks in advance!

Since the tie rod ends appeared to fix the problem, I'll bet the rotors were never warped. If rotors are not bedded properly, the pad material transfer to the rotor can be uneven and cause vibration similar to warped rotors. But it's usually not as bad as warped, but with loose TRE's the slight vibration is more noticeable.

Absolutely correct! Check the edges of the tire too for cupping. With one tire off the ground give it a good shake and see if it's tight. How many miles?
I've been running Zimmerman's on my A6 and have never had a problem. I am running EBC Green's myself.

... give them your part number, and make sure they sell you something OTHER than stock OEM rotors.
I went without slots or drilling because my last slotted rotors hummed badly. Not necessary for road use.

It is kind of irrelevant whether they vibrate due to deposits or due to warping. Both result from overheating, both are remedied by better-ventilated and better engineered rotors.
My conclusion after 4 sets of warped rotors (and Audi's too) was that Audi rotors warped pathologically. Particularly if you brake to a stop then sit still on the brakes, concentrating heat. Very common problem, perhaps the most common with the A6.
Only when I switched to aftermarket rotors did the problem stop. I can now brake to a stop from speed and sit on the brakes. No problem, not a hint of vibration.
