...runs the piston past its usual range of travel, vastly increases odds of scoring seals and getting leaks, a wholly unsatisfactory method of brake bleeding IMO and my experience. I've seen it happen, pedal pumping brake flush followed closely by a need for a new master cylinder.
Get it to a good tech, you're beyond self-diagnosis at this point.

Look, I don't know how the pump works, but that doesn't mean that I don't know what I am doing. Anyways, the pump stopped making noise after leaving disconnected for about a week. Still have the same pedal travel with the new MC.

Thanks for the tips, I'll have to go out and buy a bunch brake fuild I guess and see if I can get any more air out. I have one more question. Should I bench bleed the MC again before I start bleeding the system because when I was bleeding the system with the new MC the power bleeder went empty and pushed air through the system?
