Is it possible to perform a complete Sirius satellite radio retrofit?

My 2003 A6 4.2 does not have the satellite radio option. Recently, I had the RNS-E installed with some modification. Even though the car has the navigation roof antenna, I was able to have the roof antenna bypassed. I am sure some of you are familiar with this modification with an antenna mounted behind the instrument cluster. It got me wondering. I have found the Kufatec retrofit package, which requires the satellite (shark fin) antenna. Has anyone bypassed the shark fin antenna with a generic Sirius satellite antenna? Check the links below. Would this require some custom wiring or would this not even work? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
