The display is fixable.
The minor accident was a icbc deceleration of $38xx back in 2002 when the car was 1 year old....considering the high cost of german car repairs...that is a fairly minor car accident......

thanks for the price suggestions, I was hoping to get the car for around $7000-7500, but now I guess I will offer $6500 if i decide to go with this one

Just to add, my brother just bought a mint condition 2004 A6 4.2 with 83,000 kms (not miles) and paid $10,500.

There was another for sale from 2004, also 4.2 A6, both with sport package, an was going for 9,988, interestingly enough at a Lexus dealer. The car had 96,000 kms, but had some small rust starting at the bottom of the door, so we didn't bother with it. The rust was extremely minor, and both cars were accident-free and in mint condition.

I doubt prices in BC should be much different. Shop around, wait, unless you can knock down a good amount from the 8995 he asks.

I would be cautious about the 3.0L engine in the A4. Do some research around here.

Thanks, we have a lot less selection than the gta unfortunately for used cars.
But yes I will definately try to knock the price down further if I decide to go with this one.

This one has the premium pkg by the looks of it, it has the front/rear heated seat and rear auto sunshade, not sure if it has the sports pkg. Given how much body roll it had on the test drive, I didn't think so.

Get H-sport sway bars as the first order of business. Then if you wish, H&R coilovers -great handling, not too harsh, and adjustable for the winter and summer seasons.
