Default Power outlets don't work. Tried to replace fuse 2x & got sparks. Any ideas?

Obvioulsy a short of some sort, everything else on the car works perfectly. Replaced (15) fuse twice and got an instant flash/spark both times.
There are not any wiring mods or additional accessories on the vehicle. I am in sales and I cannot charge my cell phone or aftermarket navigation system and that is NOT good!
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Default Well, its most likely a fualt in the power outlet itself. Have you looked for an obvious problem?

Ie broken or something conductive in there. Look with a flashlight.

More likely than a wiring fault although that's obviously possible.

Default Make sure no one confused it for a change holder!

I had to service a customers car. She claimed it was a faulty video install. Her son had stacked like 10 dimes in the outlet.

If your rear one had problems in the past just unplug it and see if the fuse still pops. That rear panel just pulls right out. If you stick you thumb in the lighter socket it's easy to yank off (just straight out). FYI this area also works as a great "stash" spot.

OK, I unplugged rear, fuse was accepted & front outlet works. Now, how do I fix rear?
