What started my question is so many Audi parts sellers give you 202 as the right fluid for 2000 A6.

Oh well, now that it is ordered, . . . . .

I know, it's a challenge to keep up with all the changes and specs. However, I think you're going to be fine with either fluid...

Pentosin CHF 202 is a synthetic high performance hydraulic fluid for life-time applications in modern vehicle aggregates. It is suitable for all extreme ambient temperatures and guarantees full performance from -40°C to 130°C system temperature.

Pentosin CHF 202 is specially designed for hydraulics in the automotive industry with highest technical requirements. Due to its good features it is used in following devices (extract): power steering, clutch hydraulic, electro-hydraulic mechanism of convertible tops and leaky VW PS racks.

This fluid superceeds the Pentosin CHF11S, and is applicable to all Porsche 993, 996, 997, 980, 955 vehicles with convertible tops, power steering, self leveling suspensions, etc. Consult your owner's manual for details, capacities, etc. Appearance green, clear

Uberwgn has it right in my opinion. Napa does sell both fluids, and as their guide and other sources show 11s is 90-05 year vehicles, and 202 is 06 and on. When I look up power steering fluid for any 5000 etka tells me to use the 202 which is what we use in all the new Audi cars now. Although there appears to be a year split for when to use 11s, the 202 can and is used for all Audi cars. On the 202 can it says the two can be interchanged but not with the much older 7.1 which I don't think I've ever laid eyes on.
I have also wondered what the difference is between the two. In the guide I am looking at, the 11s is used on Dodge sprinters, BMW's, Land Rover, benz, Rolls, 05 and older Porsche and a few other makes.
