I am thinking about going to a quarter wash place that has the power sprayers and washing the underside of my car and wheel wells etc w/ high pressure. Is there any damage short or long term that could be done, e.g. blasting away the anti corrosive on the underbody, etc?

do not get close. By close I mean with 10 - 12 inches. Depends on the output pressure the car wash operator has set. Soap is fine, rinse is also O.K. Anything else is a waste. DO NOT spray anymore than necessary INTO the exhaust tips. Wear knee pads if you are going to be a while. DO NOT jack up the car. Concentrate on the underside of the body, not the drivetrain. Wheels/brakes are fine.
Do the underside FIRST. Then wash the outside as normal, or as the imstructions indicate for the desired results.
Good Luck, have fun, and remember, a happy car is a clean car!
