preventive maintenance for condensate drain
I have read here about problems with water accumulating in the passenger floor area. At present I have no such issues. My a/c condensate drips on the ground below the car on the few occasions when I use the a/c. As such, I have no desire to tear into the carpet to reach the drain plumbing. Do I leave it alone? Or, is there any preventive medicine I should consider?
Also no leaf issues under the battery tray. And no sunroof drainage problems. Admittedly, I garage the car and live in an arid climate. I do not use auto car washes. So not many opportunities to challenge the drainage systems.
Not looking to make work where none is needed. Just don't want to be caught thinking I am okay when a storm might be brewing that I am not aware of.
Should I consider myself lucky, or is there work to do to continue being lucky?

If the drain drains let it alone.
Not sure what model you have but my A4 has a Rube Goldberg system for windshield runoff but it seems to work and my AC drain drips nicely.
There is almost no way to get at that drain hose from below and pulling the carpeting is tough for sure.
I say let sleeping dogs lie.

It is a 2001 A6 2.7 Tip. I will consider myself fortunate in this area and not concern myself as long as I continue to get a wet floor where the drain for the condensate is located.
Thanks
