(I have also posted this in the A4 forum)
I have read many advice on price negotiation using dealer invoice price in US. I wonder if this tactics work for Toronto dealers.
Does anyone have any luck (especially with newer models such as MY2000 instead of the end of year models that they are trying to clear out)?
How about APA (www.apa.ca)? I wonder if their C$52 membership fee is worth it for buying Audi in Canada. I would like to hear your experience.
Thanks.

Larry, APA.CA gave me invoice pricing for the Passat GLX for 1999. I hope they can help you with an A6. But APA couldn't deal with Mercedes Canada.
I call Audi 1-800 for the A6 2.7tQ msrp $57,000 -- he wouldn't give out invoice pricing. Good luck!

Car & Drive had a good review of an A6 FWD with winter tires vs. A6 Q with all seasons.... I too am frustrated after 3 years. I'm getting the Passat GLX Wagon and trading it when the facelifted or 4motion or Passat Plus arrives (anything is better then my current Rear Wheel Drive C230 for winters).

I know how you feel. I have tried very hard to get a very good deal on an Audi A6 Quattro and I visited the dealerships in our area. Some gave me a good deal on the new car but my trade-in allowance on my "old" car a 1998 Mercedes-Benz C280 was not acceptable.
Finally I found an Audi Dealership in Chatham Ontario, call Richmond Motors, owner: Gerry Peterson, Bus.: 519-352-8890 and tell him "Jorg" sent you.
If you think you have problems buying an Audi try a Mercedes Benz. I purchased many new MB cars but recently the old reliable customers of MB are no longer welcomed at the new "Daimler-Chrysler" dealerships. Huge inventory and all the new 2000 models in storage until Mid or End of October 99 made my trade-in allownace not only unacceptable but rather insulting.
I adds that extra enjoyment for me driving past the MB Dealership in my Audi Quattro.
Jorg
He too has to make profit to keep the dealership open but I found him very knowledgable and very fair. He was the Manager at Downtown Fine Cars in Toronto and has a wealth of knowledge and the necessary contacts for your trade-in.
