Default Upgrading from the c-clamp?

Brake light came on yesterday, time for pads. What brand are you using on the 4.2?

Do they have a front brake tool too? or, is the c-clamp the way to go for front brakes.

Default For the front brakes, no special tool is needed because you don't need to turn and press.

A c-clamp should work on the fronts, and the Harbor Freight tool works very well on the fronts also.

Default Actually I'm upgrading from the cube. Worked well in the past, but the new tool

is super great. Not at $40, but at $16...well worth it.

You only need the c-clamp for the front. Let me know if you need any help. I just bought the OEM pads since they were cheaper (with the discount coupon) than any online place out there.

Oh, BTW, I just switch jobs. I'm in St. Paul now, by 280 and University. I do swing by GV once in a while. I'll call you for lunch sometime.

Say hi to K for me.

Default Mintex @ 80, or Pagid @ 105,,, what does OEM run you from the dealer with the coupon? (approx)

K smiles every time I talk about you helping me with the A6. She says we owe you a couple lunches. Call us anytime you're out GV way!
