Default PSK/PST sport suspension custom build/retrofit vs. Eiback Pro-kit for non-sport 2.7 (LONG)

I have an '01 2.7 w/out the factory sport suspension and have been going back and forth between trying to build/retrofit the factory PSK sport suspension or simply have the Eibach pro-kit springs installed on the car. The main reason is that I'm concerned the Eibach Pro's will lower the car too much.

I realize the PSK sport suspension lowers the car approx. 1" vs. the Eibach pro's, which lower the car 1.4"/1.3", front and rear, respectively. Perhaps I'm obsessing over what is really nothing. It's just that in some of the pics of seen of cars w/the Eibach Pro's, the cars look borderline "slammed" (too low), whereas the PSK cars seem so sit just right.

I also am fully aware that to retrofit the PSK sport suspension, you need a myriad of parts in addition to the springs/struts, i.e spring packing, spring stops, etc. After several phone calls w/my local Audi dealer and a few e-mail exchanges with some very knowledgeable people on this forum, I've got what seems to be the definitive list of all parts required to do this. Unfortunately, it puts you over $1000, the factory PSK option price. Not very enticing...

My biggest concern w/trying to retofit the PSK sport suspension is that you might be looking for trouble, in that you are messing with too many parts that make up the suspension. I would be afraid that no matter how many misc. parts have been identified for this retrofit, something will be missed and could compromise the safety of the car, etc.

On the flip side, I was quoted $500 for parts/installation of the Eibach Pro-kit, which was designed to work with the factory struts. The more I think about it, it seems like this is the most sensible, not to mention, economical choice for someone w/out the PSK suspension, such as myself.

I've already had the Audi PSK rear sway bar installed on the car. One bit of advice that someone gave me was: if you're going to go with a sport rear sway bar, you should also do the springs and struts, so everything is still well-balanced in the suspension. I believe he was trying to say that you're firming up one piece of the suspension, but still leaving the cushier, softer springs and struts, and that doing so could potentially lead to problems down the road, i.e. cracked control arms (if I remember the correct term). This leaves me wonder if having the Eibach Pro's w/a PSK rear sway bar and the original non sport struts could lead to big problems down the road.

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Default Red(PSK) Blue(Eibach Springs only)

Looks to be passenger front 13 3/8 to 13 1/2 + or - a shaky hand. Passenger rear 13 5/8 to 13 1/2. Driver front 13 1/2. I could swear it was a tad higher than the other side. For Driver weight?? Driver rear 13 5/8 to 13 1/2. This is for the stock shocks, Audi/Eibach Springs.

Default Wow! (more)

That's the best I have ever seen a 2.7T look, Ming! Your car is awesome. Makes me like the new design a bit. Who's car is the red one?
