Pulled over for using a radar detector?

Not for the detector but they don't like them.....
When I know I am about to get pulled over I take it off before he sees it because it pretty much kills all chances of talking yourself out of a ticket.

I think some states and allow them, while others do not. Always a good idea to remove

On the books only two states do not allow them!!!
It seems there is nothing against them unless you are a commercial driver. Only two states have laws against them. Can they give you a ticket if they did not catch you speeding just for having this device. From legal standpoint NO....

What is your source for this?
It's my understanding that there are many states that have made the use of radar detectors illegal, by anyone. They're illegal here in California and I know they were in a number of eastern seaboard states years back.

Only VA and DC have law against for all drivers
