I have a 1999 A6 QTip Avant V6 5v. I am at the point with my family where I need to either obtain the rear seat that fits into the trunk, or get a minivan, so I'm doing research on carseats and how they fit. Can a car seat be buckled to the optional rear seat?
Thanks!
Thanks!

It is a rear facing seat so not sure of rules for car seats. I don't think a kid would need a booster if they are in the seat given the way the belts are. I have one but do not know how a kid fits in it as I don't have a kid that age to try it out.
I'd be willing to sell mine if you are interested. It is tan in color.

Not to say that the C4 seat is anything great, but at least it is mounted into the floor. The C5 seat sits on top of the floor on little legs. There is zero head room. If you are small enough to fit in the seat, you are too small to be out of a car seat....and forget about putting car seats back there. Even if it was safe there isn't enough room.

I have 3 car seats that barely fit in my C5 (And you should see how tight it is in the B5!!!). I am exploring options.

Both are just over 5 feet tall (each, not total - lol). It wasn't ideal, but it worked. There was no chance in hell that even one of them could fit in the C5.
IMHO, the third row seat is the biggest disappointment of the C5 body change.
