Ok, so I am considering upgrading my 04 A6 to RNS-E, but I currently have the Icelink cradle/adapter wired to the factory radio and enjoy the fact that I can control the IPod with the steering wheel controls via the Icelink interface. Can the Icelink interface still be used after upgrading to RNS-E? Will I still be able to control the IPod via steering wheel controls?
I really enjoy the integration of the Ipod to the stereo system via the Icelink, and want to understand the repercussions of swapping out the OEM head unit and replacing with an RNS-E. I'll think twice about it if I lose the Ipod control or convenience of the Icelink.
Any comments would be appreciated.
