A birdie on the fence overlooking this project has said the S6 is 425/450hp V10 Tip, and RS6 has a forced induction 600hp engine (or slightly detuned) with the potential for DSG.

Since the car has 987hp and 992lbs or torque, it would be safe to say that some of the technology would transfer down to the RS6.
Can't wait to see/hear that at the track FWOT.
The next RS6 might will most likely b out of my price range, so I'm curious about what the S6 will come in on.
Or I can do the "sensible" thing and get Rally's C5 RS6.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/other/msgs/4221217.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/other/msgs/4221217.phtml</a</li></ul>

In fact, I heard that both the S6 and RS 6 will have a very high revving (9,000 RPM redline I believe) normally aspirated 5.5L FSI V10 producing 500 hp and 413 lbs/ft of torque (S6) or 560 hp and 435 lbs/ft of torque (RS 6) with the weight difference between the two cars ranging from 120-180 pounds depending on options (with the RS 6 being lighter weight than the S6). The weight difference between the S6 and RS 6 will make the mere 60 hp gap and even more mere 22 lb/ft torque gap between the two cars plenty sufficient. I believe that the RS 6 will have the Ricardo built DL1,400 (not the DL1,200 as I originally thought-long story) 7-speed DSG transmission with a maximum capacity of 1,032 lbs/ft of torque (which is 1,400 nm and not 1,200 nm as I originally thought-also a long story) right from the start while the S6 will get this same DSG transmission for it's second model year. For it's first model year, the S6 will have the ZF built AL700 6-speed tiptronic automatic transmission with a maximum capacity of 516 lbs/ft of torque. Manual shift paddles behind the left and right spokes of the multi function 3-spoke steering wheel (moving with the steering wheel FWIW) will be standard on both the S6 (with both tiptronic automatic and DSG transmissions) and the RS 6.
