Nope. It was interested. Its pretty obvious when someone want sto race. He initiated it. And ...
sorry, but my Audi stomped it.
I was not impressed. Have a bit more faith in those of us that have put some work into our Audi's. We can hold our own more than most on the roads today.

You'll note upon re-reading my post that I said almost any Audi. And as to factory machines,
it'll stomp any non-modded Audi machine except the RS 6 and, just maybe the S4. Clearly, either yours it <b>heavily</b> modded, or he blew the run. I'm guessing a bit of both would be necessary for them to lose so (reportedly) badly.

Well, I have the exact opposite view from you...
I respect its power while the exterior/interior design is very forgivable. although I haven't raced one yet, I do not doubt many publications acceleration number which puts even ahead of the S6 unless going past 100mph(no numbers to support that anyways) at 300hp and weighting less than the 2.7 and 4.2 it should have no problem with us.

Power in the neighborhood, less weight and different gearing - of course it's quick.
Why are people so afraid to admit when there's another quick car around? People are particularly defensive as it's also a nice car inside...

That's my view exactly; wonder what happens if the Volve is modded
Even a S6 owner admitting the S60R is a faster car; honesty is a nice quality in this forum; most like to brag about how fast our cars are. The fact is, nowadays, half of the high performance cars can blow us away for even less money. Just look at the Volve, 330i, Neon SRT4 and many other smaller cars. The speed we generate used to be pretty impressive just a few years back, but how time has changed everything.

Well crap, the S6 weighs like 4,500 lbs. with a couple of people in it. Ridiculous.
I think the Volvo S60R is a cool-*** car. I dislike brand-loyalty when it interferes with clear vision. What the hell do I care if it's a Volvo; it looks good, it feels good, it's quick, it's made decently well...what <i>is</i> the problem with it? Oh, that's right: it's not an Audi.
Mind you, I wouldn't trade the S6 for one as I love my car and much prefer it - but that's no reason to say that the Volvo is crappy, or slow...it's not.
