Default I went with the Passport X50 8500

Saved my *** a few times on my trip to Maine last month. Just need a few moments to finish off the hardwire, just deciding on whether or not to hardwire to the fuse box or to tap into one of the overhead lights (so it shuts off when the car shuts off).

I think the Valentine has a nice feature (directionals) but the Passport has a reputation for fewer false alarms.

Now if only the cops would stop mounting radar guns on those road construction signs...

Default K04 SuperWide - built in. Was in the car when I bought it.

It works OK. From the research I have done, both the V1 & Passport make more effective models than the K04 Superwide. But it does find most radar in time to allow me to slow about 5 mph before the cop get a good reading on me. It's no protection against flat out speeding.

Default Valentine. A number of people here have documented remote installs.

The directional arrows and bogey counter can be invaluable spotting traps or knowing when the danger has passed. It does false a lot, and you need to learn to filter it out yourself.

Valentine 1 - you'll never go back to a non-directional unit again!

I use the Passport, tried both, passport won! For my daily commute the V1 falsed way to many times.

Default Had a Passport 8500 and V1...once I programed the V1 to minimize false alerts, I sold the Passport.

The direction arrows and bogie counter are a huge plus. Downside is that the V1 is not that small and a bit bulky.

You can get also get 10% off on the V1.
