Radiator Fan Relays

Radiator Fan Relays
My aux radiator fan is not coming on... AC gets warm when idling. The 40A and 5A fuses are good. I cannot find relays J26 and J101. They are not on the same box under the drivers dash just above the fuses like my manual says they should be.
Where are they? 2000 A6 Avant 2.8.
Thanks,
Scott

Help... aux cooling fan
So... the aux fan turns on by the temp sensor switch on the radiator hose or when the AC is kicked on, right? I still cannot find the two relays that my manual says are near the two fuses under the steering wheel. My fan is not coming on.

Radiator Fan
So I unplugged the fan and jumped 12 volts to it. It did not want to run unless I gave it a little spin, and then it sounded kind of rough. But it would run a little. I tested the wire going to the fan with the connector unplugged and it read 11volts.
Anyway, I hooked it all back up, but it will not turn on even with help...
I might still have another problem.
Still, I cannot find the relays.

Hi, I was in the same situation few days ago. The car is A6 99’ 2.8 quattro avant .
So the problem was in “electronic fan control unit” with OEM part number 8D0 959 501 A it was damaged. I’ve buy other second hand from ebay and now everything is O.K. for 65 euro.
