Default rattle noise front-passenger wheel...

there is this rattling noise from my wheel when i go over small bumps and cracks. also when i move the steering wheel back and forth it makes a rattle click when i start turning the other direction.

I first noticed after driving very fast on the highway, but i dont remember hitting any potholes, but there were some high G turns...

oh, i'm hoping its just low brakes because I've had the low brake light on for a while and i see that I need to change the front brakes very soon, could it just be that they are loose once they are small?

please help me out, it would be great to get rid of this on my own.

Default Is it a rattle, or a louder thump when you hit things. Try.....

At a stop - turn the wheel side to side. Do you hear the noise then? Could be Tie Rod Ends or other suspensions issues.

It could also be as simple as the lower engine cover flapping around loose.

Default pull the wheel off and start tapping around in the wheel well for rattles....also

The plastic splash pan and front edge of the wheel wells have a tendency to lose the small body fasteners plastic and metal. This can create rattles and such because it is loose. But it could also be a CV joint a tie rod end or shot sway bar bushings.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Default

If changing the brakes doesn't fix it, I'd start looking at your sway bar end links and control arms

Default Well, i have work today. I'll probably change the brakes on Tuesday, but

I also feel the rattle on the gas pedal. When I'm driving straight and there are small bumps I can feel the rattle through the gas pedal, maybe that would help clear up what it can be. How do I know if its the tie rod ends, sway bar end links, or control arms? what can I see on them to know that they went bad? and Yes I do hear the thump when I turn the steering wheel back and forth, it is actually more of a thump when I do that, but its more of a rattle when I drive.

Default Sounds more like suspension issues than brake issues. Check out the tech section....

Like I said before, there is alot that will make noises on the front end when its shaken.

Try this.
Grab the tire at 9 and 3. push and pull back and forth.
Does it feel loose?
Do you see the tie rod end moving?
Upper control arms?
Does it seem like a wheel bearing?
