two S6's? Although it is not that obvious on the pictures.
Mine is 1" lower. Fitted lowered springs last week.
It does make the car look meaner. On the handling department, not that the S6 needs any additional help here, there is a small improvement as I expected. Less body roll, in fact now hardly any at all.
The interesting thing is that the confort is identical to when it had the original springs.

..."butt accelerometer." I was very impressed with 2002 S6 ride, given that it is something like 30-40% stiffer.
Can you describe what springs/shocks you installed? And, what are you doing with your stock parts? (hint: Xmas is coming, and I'm out of work....;^) )
I'm not sure putting those parts on my 2001 4.2 will be as satisfying, due to the possible greater tightness of linkages and lesser weight of the 2002 unsprung parts.
PS: thanks for the comparison webpage. Nicely done!

seems to have similar brakes in the front and much larger brakes in the rear, meanwhile it does not brake any better than the S6.
My problem now is since I have more power and tend to use that power, I find myself driving faster than I should, thus the car take longer to stop or slow down, but that's normal physics.

re-manufactured so to have a smaller gap in between the coils so to lower the car by an inch.
The S6 suspension is excellent as standard, I don't see any need to spend big bugs on brand named springs (eibach, ABT), which may have given a different level of comfort, which I would have discovered only once the springs had been installed and might have been disappointed with.
Like this the car is lowered, handles a bit better, but the comfort is identical.

Where the springs done locally as a "one-off" or is someone marketing them. Also, I would wonder if they were lowered with no change in rate, is there a concern about bottoming out? It would seem that "shortening" a spring with constant rate would limit travel. Hopefully there was enough excess in the design by Audi.
