Default Rear Brake Rotor Mismatch???

Ok.. My Brake codes are 1 LX and 1KD
According to search the rear should be 245mm and the front are 321mm and I measure the Hat it was 17mm. All good so far I ordered the stuff from Autohauz (Zimmerman all around)and the stuff arrived correct front brake rotors and pads (4 per caliper) went to change the rear WRONG!!!! The rotor is 255mm with a part number 4B0615601B and what I had ordered came with a part number 4B0615601 (notice no B. So cannot put in this stuff in had to go to dealer and buy the 255mm ones. I even got them to look up the EKTA for my Car and the code 1KD still translates to 245mm but my car has 255mm. I have the original code sticker in my Manual and in the trunk and they both say 1KD. Has anyone seen this discrepancy before!!!!???

My car is 2001 A6 2.7T

Default Wow...and you've had this car since 2001?

Should have found out by now but if it's a used car perhaps someone put the wrong rotors on it or upgraded/changed them.

Default I bought CPO and dealer changed the rears at 43K.. I am changing for the first time..

It was always Dealer fixed only... so how could they make the changes??

Default Look in the ELA pages of ETKA

The 1KD code is 245x10 for FWD and 255x10 for quattro.

This is typical Audi work...avants also sometimes have bigger rear brakes than sedans.

Default All the more reason to go back to the dealer and, umm, raise the issue.

If indeed the rears were changed for some reason the dealer should know (the parts list should reflect what was put on) and perforce explain.
