Default Rear seat dual cup holder, major surgery or lobotomy. I did not see anything in the archives.>

I need to pull this thing out and clean it. Dealer says once I pull the trim piece off (did that), I should see a couple of small tabs on each side to finish removal. Can't see them.
Anyone else do this recently?

Default Done it - not major surgery. Once you find the little tabs the entire

unit pops out nicely. For easiest access, pull the entire seat bottom out of the car and put it on your workbench/kitchen counter.

Default I still can't see the da*n tabs they are referring to. Problem is the holder

won't clear the holder frame when going in. Bottom support won't retract. Just a bad day, must be a senior moment. Now the A/C at home won't go on either. Dealer said they never pull the seat cushion, so being a basically lazy person, that's what I'm going with. Tried to clean it without removal, no luck.

Default Trim piece was easy. I just have a major issue contorting inside the rear seat area,

and the lack of a dead-on straight view isn't helping, even with my MagLite.

Default Correct, the dealers don't remove the seat cushion because that's extra clock time..

..for the mechanic. They do these all the time, so they know exactly where to push and pry. It s easier when it's at eye level on a bench or desk when you are doing it for the first time, rather than being squished in the back on the floor, or hanging over backwards on the seat.

Default Yeah, stubborn person I am, I'll give it a few more tries before yanking the seat. >

by the way, where on that holder are the clips? At least I'll be looking in the right place. Dealer said left and right side.

Default Yes, left and right side of EACH holder....top part...parallel to the little rectangle cutout..

...make sure you are using a thin flathead screwdriver.
