I need to pull this thing out and clean it. Dealer says once I pull the trim piece off (did that), I should see a couple of small tabs on each side to finish removal. Can't see them.
Anyone else do this recently?

unit pops out nicely. For easiest access, pull the entire seat bottom out of the car and put it on your workbench/kitchen counter.

won't clear the holder frame when going in. Bottom support won't retract. Just a bad day, must be a senior moment. Now the A/C at home won't go on either. Dealer said they never pull the seat cushion, so being a basically lazy person, that's what I'm going with. Tried to clean it without removal, no luck.

and the lack of a dead-on straight view isn't helping, even with my MagLite.

..for the mechanic. They do these all the time, so they know exactly where to push and pry. It s easier when it's at eye level on a bench or desk when you are doing it for the first time, rather than being squished in the back on the floor, or hanging over backwards on the seat.
