has anyone taken off their rear valance to see if they can replace it or cut out the holes for the exhaust tips to come out from them?

The valance is all part of the rear bumper skin - it can be cut fairly easily and the tips brought out through a'la' S6 wannabe.... There is a second inner panel that also needs minor trimming I've had this done and the cost was minimal ( 250 for that and painting both the rear and front black panels) The shop also did a nice job flaring the cut to make it look more stock. The factory exhaust may not line up exactly but I'm sure the tips can be corrected to align properly - with a custom exhaust it was simple to align. There are a few companies that offer 6-10 inch rolled stainless tips that should work well.
