Rear view mirror stained/discolored... Any ideas?

Rear view mirror stained/discolored... Any ideas?
So today I got in my car and about 1/3 of the rear view mirror is a different color than the rest. A large spot/stain in the center. Has anyone seen this before?

auto dim is failing...
it is the liquid that makes the autodim work, and there is an internal leak in the mirror. Only solution is to replace, not cheap.
Are you talking about the inside rearview or one of the sideview mirrors???
