Hello Audi World,
I have a 99 A6 2.8 QTIP with 150,000 miles. had a diagnostic done and the torque converter is bad. Does anyone have a recomendation for a good independent shop in NOVA/DMV to get the transmission and TQ rebuilt and installed. Was considering ordering a rebuilt from level 10 and renting a bay and doing the install myself but cant find any good references. Also does anyone have any experience with German Auto group they quoted me $4,000 which seems like a good price. Thanks in advance for your help.

Freddy's transmission service quoted me $3200-3600 for my 5HP24A, but I'm not sure if that would be a more expensive job than your 5HP19A. For a lot less money, I swapped in a manual trans. Just a thought :-)
