2002 A6 2.7 red console lights behind radio, heated seats, sun roof control lights all stay on all night. Kill battery. if I pull fuse 15 the lights go out but then the battery gauge doesn't work. Any help to where to look for the short would be great. the car is all stock no radio upgrades or alarms. thanks in advance

That is strange! Shooting in the dark, it could be the headlight switch... as in, one of the contacts arced and stuck together etc. Try removing the switch's wiring connectors and see if the lights go out. If they do (although not definitive enough), try swapping out the switch itself and see if the problem goes away.

What ever your findings are, please do post the final outcome. I am interested to know what the issue could be.
