Regarding my misfires....i have oil on the end ALL coil packs and #3 had a lot of oil on the plug

Default Regarding my misfires....i have oil on the end ALL coil packs and #3 had a lot of oil on the plug

spark plug end.....both sides had a little oil at the end of the coilpack area.....curious, why would both valve cover gaskets go at the same time...

Default seems coincidental that i put MYSTERY OIL in a few days ago...is it possible the myster is thinning

out my oil, causing blow by?

You have leaking valve cover gaskets around the plug holes.

Default ...because you have a 30V engine! They all leak, some just simply more than others. There are 2

kinds of 30V engines - those that need the seals replaced and those that need the seals replaced again! Best of luck getting her sealed up tight.

Default Meh. If you treat the seals like maintenance items and change them with the t-belt you'll be fine.

Only one minor problem on two 30v's since I started doing that.

Default HELP I went ahead and replaced the Valve cover gasket on the passenger side, since I noticed the mo

most oil on #3 - including all over the eletrode

i get it all together, go for a drive, and immediately it starts to sputtr/buck.... it shows code misfires on #1, 3, 4, 6 what the!!!

help!! What isgoing on? AGain, this is an intermittent problem....it runs fine, then spuuter then runs fine.... it acts up mostly when coming to a slow/stop....but it still does it on the highway,etc.... btw, i also replaced the coolant tempsensor...and cleaned the plugs/coilpack end as best i could....is it possibl there is still oil residue?

I'd probably buy some brake cleaner and clean the coilpack boots with that.

Default Try QD Electronics Cleaner by CRC - it will not harm most plastics. Brake cleaner will clean it but

*may* harm the rubber boots. Just an **** tip to be extra safe. Some brake cleaners have pretty aggressive solvents in them.
