Removing brake line (hose) from the front caliper.

Removing brake line (hose) from the front caliper.
Finally, I started working on the brake calipers to replace the seals. I noticed, When I unscrew the brake hose (metal one) from the caliper, the brake fluid starts to drip. Is there a way to block the fluid from dripping? A friend mechanic who works at the brake repair shop (not Audi though), told me to squeeze the flexible rubber hose with pliers. I see that rubber hose is very hard to squeeze and I don't want to rick damaging it.
What is the best way to remove that brake line/hose from the caliper?

Pop one of the bleeder screw caps on the detached line...
Or just let it drain out and bleed new fluid through the entire system. It's an inexpensive maint. item and you'll only need a little over one of those small bottles.

He's right, use Vice Grips (protect hose from sharp teeth with thin strips of wood - paint stirring rod is perfect)or a small "C" clamp. Shouldn't take a tremendous amount of force to stop the flow. You're just compressing it enough to seal it just enough.
Not a new technique, or something that will damage the hose if done carefully. Been doing this for many years on all types of vehicles large & small.
