I want to get in there to tap another amp off plug.
I've read the trunk removal FAQ in the tech section, but that's for A4's.
The A6 seems to have some other stuff going on in there that was giving me some trouble.
Any of you guys installed your own amp and sub? run your own wires? etc?

Just unplug and tap in there.
To remove that side panel you have to:
Remove the carpet or pull it away from the side
Take the trunk seal off on that side (just pull up and off)
Remove the screws for the polished tie-down loops and I think maybe 3-4 screws to take off the black plastic guard that is at the opening of the trunk.
There are 2 plugs that you have to pull out along the upper part of the side trim as well.
After all that is gone the panel is attached by a clip where the 'door' opening is. Just give it a good push in and it will pop the clip (actually it is kind of a hook, you'll see) and you can remove the panel.
