Hey everyone,
I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the passenger side tail light bulb. It's weird, there's no spot for a bulb but on the driver's side, there is a tail light bulb. The only thing on the passenger side is the reverse light. It's like they forgot to put one in or something. Any ideas?

C4 A6, right?
Are you sure the tail light bulb in question isn't the rear fog light bulb? Unlike the C5 A6 which has two working rear fog lights flanking the license plate, most other cars with rear fog lights typically just have one on the driver side.
The rear fog light bulb should be a fairly high wattage (read: bright) bulb, more like a brake light bulb vs. a parking/running light bulb.

I'm unsure if it's C4 or not. It's a 1996 Audi A6 Quattro. But I do know this, in order to get to the light, I have to open the trunk and unscrew the top part of the trunk lining. I'm just not understanding how there's a light on the driver side but not on the passenger side. How does it light up if there's no bulb? The driver's side has two lights...the reverse light and then next to that is another light which I assumed was the tail light. I know the one is a reverse light because I tested it in reverse, the light comes on. The other light on the driver side comes on when I turn on my headlights, leading me to believe that it's a tail light...but where's the tail light on the passenger side? It looks like there's a spot for it, but there's not light harness, no wires, no nothin. Just the reverse light next to where the other tail light should be.

My C5A6 2K4.2A6 only has one driver's side rear fog light.
Why? Probably to differentiate it from brake lights for the North American Market.
In any case, I suspect it shouldn't have been installed anyway (or the twin rear fogs) because so many moronic North Americans can't seem to grasp the concept that foglights should be on ONLY WHEN THERE IS FOG!
The general consensus seems to be that foglights are fashion accessories and should be on at all times...Not.
(Rant over).
