I just did the fronts today with p/n TM025F13. I put these in as a friend in the high end speaker biz gave me 4 for the A6. The Bose tweeters are 4 Ohms and so are these. WOW it's so much better! The highs are now crystal clear with excellent tonality. My wife stated the difference was like taking cotton out of your ears. I had to dremel off the mounting flanges so they would fit. I had to tack glue them in place as the metal holding clamp no longer fit around the magnet. R & R of the door panels is well documented and easy. Then I just popped the little clip that holds the Bose tweeters, and replaced with the dremmeled Audax ones. Piece of cake! Sorry for the poor quality cell phone pics. My digital camera has decided to cease functioning. My stereo system is now starting to reach the the acceptable level for me without having to tear out all the Bose amplifer components (well not yet anyway).

I took out the bottom speaker in the trunk unit and hooked up a tactile transducer to the back seat. Another friend of mine in the speaker manufacturing business has one of my Bose 4 inch drivers now and he's seeing what he can do with it to make it mucho better.I suspect that he will put a much better cone and voice coil on the frame. I will then send him my other one to do as well.

When I put the IBeam under the rear shelf it will be awesome. BD's going to help me take it apart as it needs lots of acoustic isolation as it buzzes like crazy. Another upoming change is my friend with the speaker factory is going to "see what he can do" with my stock Bose woofers from the trunk. Like I said above, he will probably replace the voice coils and cone materials. That should improve the woofer performance as well. The next thing will be to rip out my Bose Amp and replace it with DSP controlled power amps so I can dial in the cabin acoustics.
