Replaced one of my HID Xenon lights and it doesnt match the other (Light color wise)
Replaced my whole pass side housing, bulbs & ballasts and all. All with OEM Audi/Hella from the dealer. The old one was minorly damaged in a fender bender. The new one is definitely HID but does not have the same color appearance. I even tried swapping the bulb from my old one, and it was still different. Its less blue than my other one.
If its still HID and swapping the bulb did not fix it, why else could it be different??

To get same color, bulbs need to be matched
Both by light frequency and by age. Even with the same bulb from the same manufacturer, people commonly report color differences unless both are replaced at the same time.
If you are saying both older bulbs vary by color somewhat, perhaps one was previously replaced?

Old bulb and new bulb in new housing still differs from other light
Before I replaced it, they matched fine. I tried swapping my old bulb into the new housing and its still less blue than my other light. Does the ballast thing need to burn in or anything? Or should that also be changed back to my old one? I am not sure if the ballast box effects color though...
