Replacement Tires

Replacement Tires
Just recently purchases a 96 A6Q and need to put new rubber at all four corners. I have checked out Tirerack and am looking at Dunlop D60A2, Pirelli P600 or Conti's Sportcontacts. Any thoughts pro or con?

Re: Replacement Tires
I just put the Dunlop D60A2's on my '89 Accord. I love the tires. They are reasonably priced, are quiet, offer a good ride, and are grippy. They are a HUGE improvement over the B.F. Goodrich Touring T/A tires that were on before. Also, I like the tread pattern and the sidewall patterns (purely cosmetic).

Re: Replacement Tires
I have the Dunlop D60 A2's on my '92 Maxima. Several years ago it was the Consumer Reports best high performance all season radial. I like it - no problems - good handling in wet and dry. Not horrible in the snow.

Re: Replacement Tires
I'd go with Michelin MXV-4E or the current replacement.
Ran this model of tire (multiples) the entire 115,000 time I owned my 92 100CS
except for the the first 40K miles on junk factory Continentals. Excellent tire in all weather conditions.
Never rotated them, just moved the fronts to rear at 40% remaining tread and installed new fronts. Easier on the wallet too.

Try the experts on the wheel and tire forum as well
Although they may try to get you to go for better tires since they are enthusiast about the subject too. Personnally I would go for something a bit different than what you spec'd but it depends on where you live.
