The 2 push button switches that you see as you get in the drivers door (one for the trunk release, the other for the interior alarm sensor) are broken.
The covers look like they are broke. They fell out of the car when I opened the door yesterday.
Know where I can get replacements without going through the stealership? Is this common?

I guess the parts are avialable seperately, but I am not sure the part numbers or costs.
Regardless, others have "repaired" the button by removing the spring under the buttons. Then the button just snaps back in. They do not spring out, but they also don't fall out anymore, and function just fine.
I never use mine. No reason to. The trunk release seems odd, since I have to pull the decklid anyway to open the trunk, so the button is useless.
As far as the motion sensor kill button, I reduced the sensitivity of the motion sensor with the VAG COM, so I can elave the windows cracked/open without the alarm going off.
Hopt this helps!
