Honda1, you may be right. Upon closer examination of my sheets, the color codes are specifically for the A4. I made an assumption that may be incorrect, based on that sheet. I was very interested in the Andorra Red, but settled on the Melange for my 2.7T I ordered. Do you know if Pelican Blue is an option for the 2.7T??

Ya know, I've never seen a tornado red A6. I think it would be a nice color if you tinted the windows black. My '85 Coupe was tornado red and I loved that car. Also, I've never seen an A6 with tinted windows; perhaps someone could post a pic of such?

As everyone says, IMHO- Andorra Red is one of the most insipid reds I have ever seen. Porsche Guards Red- now there's a real red- Plus my 1988 BMW M6 had a beautiful red, with a lot more blue in it than the Porsche. At one time I had three reds, including a VW Corrado, which was a nice red. Yesterday, I saw a red TT, but I don't know which red it is. I didn't like it. Not at all distinctive. It looked washed out. I have seen Andorra and I don't think it cuts the mustard- heck, it wouldn't even attract the fuzz. I had a tan interior on the BMW and it looked great with the red. But, to me, the melange color is also insipid.

Well, the order sheet I have is specific to the 2.7T, and Andorra Red and Jaspis Green are not available, nor is the Royal Blue interior. The interior option is gone across the board, per the dealer, but I didn't ask about exterior colors for the other models as I'm not interested in them; it's possible that Andorra and Jaspis remain available for the 2.8, I doubt they'll be offered for the 4.2 as they weren't for 2000 either.

Color choice is completely subjective; there is no right and wrong choice. That being said, I have a '99.5 A6 in Andorra Red with Onyx interior and find it to be a smashing combination. Melange should be excellent also (and a little less somber/Germanic). For those who care about such things, Andorra red appears to be a relatively rare A6 color, so you won't see yourself coming and going.
