I was looking for that pic from your seat swap...
...but it must have been baleeted from the ahrd drive at home...bummer...it was a good one!!!
From the mod-a-palooza a couple of years ago at my house...alcantara headliner install, sport seat swap for your car from my "donor" 2.7T, clearcorners for the 4.2, etc. etc.

Was any thought given to leaving the panels as they were?...
I have the two-tone platinum/black interior and have always been open to the idea of black and/or platinum sport seats (should they ever come my way). My thought has always been that the two-tone interior would still look good even with black seats (wth the exception,maybe, of the driver's arm rest).
What did either of you think of the look before you changed the panels?

The upper leather inserts on the RS6 door panels are much nicer than..
..the ones he had in the car.
Plus, the Black hides dirt and fingerprints much better.
However, I too, am a fan of a two-tone interior.

Wow, that's amazing. I wish I had the skillz...
My dog has positively destroyed the Vanilla Leather seats in my 01 2.7T. (well, my dog and a clueless detailer at my dealer that scrubbed so hard trying to clean them up he actually tore the f**king leather)
