Yeah! Here join the RS6 exhaust party!
Just brought an 2003 RS6 non-sport exhaust and welded it on my 2000 A6 2.7t
<a href="http://www.mnaudi.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6544"> Here is the original MN Audi Club post. </a>
The muffer guy made two cone shapes and welded the RS6 exhaust on. Every exhaust hanger is a direct fit.
The RS6 exhaust is heavier that my orginal one, so good side is that weight balance is improved.
Car feels slightly stronger after the exhaust swap.
And I can finally hear the exhaust notes of my Audi. The sound is not loud, but louder than a stock R32.
Here is my car:

The ugly old exhaust:

The new 2003 RS6 non-sport exhaust:

You can see that the RS6 exhaust is thicker that my old exhaust.

Too excited and forgot to take pictures after the installation.
Here is how my 2.7t with new exhaust looks:

I cut the holes in the rear bumper myself to save cost. The holes are too high that they expose the metal bumper bar, as you can see in the last picture.

Very cool. Mine is loud as heck. You culd always add a seal around the cut outs, as others have done, to bring them down and round a bit.
It took me 2 hours to cut mine, I was scared of messing up the entire time, and took it really slow. I'll post pics tomorrow, it got late.
Cool that it fits the 2.7T as well. I wonder what the gains are for the Turbo engine? Enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestion.
I have already put some home made seal on. Either my holes are too big or the seals are too small. Have to live with it until get rear-ended and swap 2002+ bumper.
It tooks me a long time to cut too. I used some kind of small hand craft saw. :P
Remember to post pics of your car tomorrow. Can't wait to see.
As for the power gain, I can feel that my car is stronger. Heard that turbo cars benefit a lot from lower back pressure.
Mmm... My 2.7t is not chipped yet. May be I can get a Stage 2 Gica chip for it!

looks good/correct with exposed exhausts. I replaced my '00 A6 bumper cover with the orig for this reason. While the Acura TL looks respectable, I don't want to emulate it. PS: a very recent AW Post re; exhaust perf smacked of some logic & value re; the stock setup, i.e., possible "top-end breathing constraints" @ 5000 RPM ? Certainly not a reason for me to spend $1000+ for an early-on mod.
