Talk about conflicting information....I am hearing they will fit and that "no way they won't fit" (they won't clear the calipers)!
Here's what I want to do:

2002 A6 2.7T with Eibach Pro System (already on the car)
I want to put on RS6 Replicas in size 17 x 7.5 ET 30 5 x 112 with 235/45-17 tires.

Does anyone have first hand experience with this setup fitting on this year 2.7T?

I want to get these wheels but need to know once and for all it they are going to fit!

IMHO, ET30 is too little for the 2.7T. If they do clear the brakes, you'll be at the edge of the fender lip, if not outside. I'd look for a 35-40mm offset.

e seen look good on an a6 is the stock s4 six spoke wheels other then that most 17's look...again kind of funny...like the potential is there.....but not quite enough....imo.

no offense to a6 owners with aftermarket 17's.

i say stay stock or go all the way with 18's or 19's...no in betweens. i'm sure many will disagree but again 17's look funny.

I am looking at the same wheel for my 2001 A6 2.7 T. You will need to go with the 18's or 19's in the RS6 rep with a 35 ET. A 30 ET will set the wheel out to far on the 2.7 T

I have done the same research and have had conflicting information.

I called Josh at Achtuning and he is one of the few who knows what he is talking about.

I have spoken to Josh and he has told me that the 35 ET is the key. One difference between your car and my car is that the 2002 2.7T has a different front brake caliper than previous years which supposedly can rub some wheels. Are you at all concerned about the 18 inch wheel/tire and durability? I hear from a buddy who is a tire wholesaler that they see 18 inch tires constantly that are blown out or have bubbles because they can't stand up to the poor roads in my part of the country (northeast). Are you going to buy the RS6 wheel from Achtuning? Let me know how you make out.

I really want to stay with 17's just cause of that reason. I want either the RS4 or RS6 and the only size that will fit my car in those are 18's or 19's unfortunately.

If I go the Ronal route which I may, I can get 17's in a different style rim.

I will let you know what happens.

I am not saying that 18 or 19 is the only way to go but sometimes 17 does not improve the look but if handling is the only thing then go for it.
