Rumbling underneath when starting from stop

This started about 6 months back (03 A6 Avant 3.0). When starting from stop sign for example, I get a rumbling sound from the outside bottom of the car, more towards the rear from the way it sounds. Gets worse with people in the back seat or weight in the back. Had it up on a lift and both tranny mounts were really bad - tranny could move up and down a good half inch and when it did, the exhaust was hitting the drive shaft. Could actually see some minor scoring on the shaft.
Well, both mounts are new, but the noise is still there. Drive shaft bearing or rear axle? Car rides nice (minor vibration on highway over 70 but could be the tires which are shot and getting replaced next week).

It ended up being centersupport berings. Uses to be able to repair via. Blauparts, But they dont carry it anymore. Had the same issue on my 4.2, had to replace driveshaft. If you cant find one mear you Try force5auto out of new hampshire. Paid 100 bucks for used one. Force5 didnt have one for 4.2. First raise vehicle reach up to where both parts of Driveshaft meet and move it around If it clangs then problem found. If not driveshaft please Let us know when you find out.

Since I dont shop online I called blauparts directly and was told manufacturer of repair kit stopped producing them. It was 3 months since theyve seen a kit when I called last year. Things may have changed in that time. There are other Kits using mercedes parts, cant remember which model.
