S6 wheels are very very rare in the US. How rare would damaged/refinished ones be?

I thought it was a little bit odd that they had them on their pricelist.

'bout the middle of last year for the 2000 S6 AVUS wheels. At that time, this was a Europe-only car...now due in the US in Avant form soon. The g-p purchase was run by a NW (Portland area) Audi owner with a urS4 (highly modified). Close to 30 purchasers bought over 120 wheels at that time. Cost was about $193-198 per wheel, plus shipping to the US, plus a little "extra" so the cost of the owner's original S6 wheels could be brought down to the g-p price (perfectly reasonable IMHO), plus UPS to your door. I picked mine up at the local warehouse/point of US entry for about $235 each. With UPS, they ran $250-255+/- each. These are BRAND NEW wheels from Speedline, not "remanufactured" (whatever that is...)

Now for the good part...as has been previously posted to this very forum, the same person is going for ANOTHER group-purchase aimed at S6 wheels, with the possibliity of either S8 or another European-only Audi wheel being available as well. He has also stated that the price/wheel for the S6 AVUS may go up a bit as he is looking for better (more protective) packaging for shipping the wheels. The possible target-date for this next g-p in late in the 1st quarter of 2001...that means soon. Yes, more info will be posted as soon as I hear of it. Some of you may know who did the last g-p...he's very active on the Scar site for urS4/S6 cars.
