Default S6 and S3 at the race track

My son and I had a fantastic time at a race track nearby. This also happens to be the race track were one of our local mags do their track testing.

They did test the S6 and the S3, and guess what, I got over 2 seconds faster than they did with my S6 and my son over 1 second faster with the S3...

All the details and pictures at the link below

Default Absolutely outstanding Andre...why weren't you MY father?! ;)

That is one hell of a day with the boy I must say...now if you would just go out and get yourself a good digital camera you could save yourself a lot of scanning time and provide us with some boss pictures!!!

You must've been going really hard into this corner...you slid all the way into the other seat!!! Damn, I thought Recaros were "good" seats!

Default Heres a somewhat better shot from Fin's original....

but yes, a Digital camera is much needed. Oh what the power of Photoshop and 45 seconds will do.

Default Looks like great fun. My daughter would love to go on the track but she is only 10

Great to be able to make it a family type outing. Course my daughter(AKA my pit crew) is not a good sport cause she raspberries the other cars if I pass them or beat them at the strip!!! : ) SHe gives Drkangl(rick) the meanest raspberries!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Such a cool dad (not even flustered by your son going sightseeing off the track) Just awesome!

Andre, do you have, spelled out anywhere, the mods you've made and their impacts on the car?

Default Because my son did not use the Zoom as much as he should have, I had to blow up

the pictures of my car in order to get a decent size car. In this shot the car would have been less than two inckes long if I had kept the original size, hence the poor quality of the picture.
Under such circumstances, I don't beleive a digital camera would have better....

Yes I was going so hard that not only did I slide to the other side of the car, but I took the steering wheel and the dials with me too
Did you notice that the Porsche behind was farming while this short was taken?

Default I did not see him go off the track, he told me later. He also told that he got out of the sand pit

quickly so that I would not see him as we were at different parts of the track at the time.
These things happen, and frankly it is not his fault that the S3 has sh**ty brakes.
Nevertheless, I told him to go and get the chassis high pressure washed, as well as the wheel arches, and wash the car himself.... which he did the next day.
