Default Depends on the purpose. If you need one car that can do everything reasonable well,...

...then Audi is a good bet (comfortable daily driver, repectable enough to take the boss to lunch, great in bad weather, somewhat fun in the twisties. But if you need something to tow or haul, a Chevy truck is my choice. Want something cheap and really fun to drive? Miata or MX-5. Classic roadster? 60's vintage Alfa. Want a dry weather sports sedan? BMW M.

My Miata has really opened my eyes. There are other brands besides Audi.

Default Just looking for something with more room, but at the same time sporty. Also less..

expensive to maintain than the Audi when it gets high mileage. Any input would be great.

Default A return to Saab. They were always strong performers and reliable to me.

Still very well built like German cars.

Default bmw is nice, but not my bag, not a single american car. i'd drive a maserati quattroporte :)

or a porsche cayenne if i needed the suv'ness. the vw tdi touareg is fun...

if i needed a japanese daily, i might consider a subaru or a mazda. but then i'd get another used audi

I said I would like something that won't brake the bank to fix. I would consider subaru or mazda.

Default 2004-2006 Lexus LS430 Sport

Black on Black, navigation. Had an 2001 and it was the best car I've owned, So relaxing and reliable for the full 3 years I had it. Drove an 04 and it faster with 6 speed tranny. I may get one if I find one with low mileage for $20K. Its tough since the resale value is pretty good.
