Default Saw my car in the shop(airbag light - long)

This afternoon (11-28) I drove over to my dealer in my rented Dodge Durrango. I walked straight into the shop and there in a corner was my beautiful A6 siting there with its interior guts pulled out. The center console and back seat and radio were all out. All the windows were down and the trunk was wide open. I wish I had remembered to bring my digicam so I could show you guys.
It's very painful to see your 47k car all torn up like that.
I don't think the car will ever be the same anymore. What once was a tight fitting beautiful interior, is now going to squeek and rattle. They never putem together back like the factory.
Maybe they will fix it right. I will try to be optimistic. Sorry for the long rant.

Default You should have gone in and taken a longer, closer look...

and you would be pleasantly surprised at how well-built Audis are. No sheet-metal screws...everything is bolted! I've had the full interior out of my car to do stereo work, and there is not one squeek or rattle. Never has squeeked or rattled. Then go do the same thing at a BMW dealership and you'll be glad you didn't pay more to get inferior build quality.

If it does squeek and/or rattle, take it back! It's under warranty.

Default Re: Audi Tech Help Line Stumped!!

Talked to the service manager at Circle today. The car remains in the shop all torn apart. It seems that AoA tech guys can't figure out why the airbag ECU does not want to play along with the main ECU. They claim this is something new to 2001 A6's. There are a total of 8 DTC's which can't be explained by AoA. Now there faxing all this stuff to Germany (AG) I am promised a phone call tom. from him the 6th day the car has been in the shop.
I don't have much more hope for this car anymore.
